Dr. Abramson is a nationally renowned lawyer and scholar in business law, biotechnology, and computer software. His legal practice focuses on entity formation, intellectual property, and business dispute litigation. He has dedicated his legal career to helping early and formative stage companies navigate the wide range of legal, financial, and management issues they face. 

Dr. Abramson has been an adjunct professor of Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University since 1996, teaching classes in biotechnology law, business regulations, and financial management to scientists and entrepreneurs. He also has decades of experience working with some of the nation’s most promising computer software start-ups as the former chair of the Business Section of the Software Publishers Association. 

Over his three-decade career, Dr. Abramson has been involved on the highest levels of business and government policy-making. He was the moderator for the White House Conference on Small Businesses, offering congressional testimony on legal issues for small businesses and start-up companies. In addition, he has served as the Chairman of the Maryland Governor's Commission on Worker's Compensation Laws and the Vice-Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum.   

Dr. Abramson has been a lifelong philanthropist and supporter of the performing arts. He is the founder and chairman of the Damascus Performing Arts Center and an active board member of the Shining Starts School of Performing Arts.
